- The State of the African Diaspora and UNASDG signed collaboration agreement.
On April 5, 2023, the UNASDG and the State of the African Diaspora (SOAD) signed a convention and a cooperation agreement. According to these documents, « the UNASDG hereby confirms its willingness and intention to enter into long-term cooperation with the State of the African Diaspora, hereinafter referred to as "Diaspora". Likewise, the State of the African Diaspora hereby confirms its willingness and intention to enter into long-term cooperation with the intergovernmental organization UNASDG and both organizations fully recognize each other as a full sovereign body by signing this Agreement. » As indicated in the convention, « the objectives of the cooperation are the smooth implementation and completion of projects and processes at the technical, environmental, economic, humanitarian and financial levels within the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) » The SDGs were defined by the United Nations in 2015 and include 17 objectives such as « no poverty », « no hunger », « clean water », « clean energy », « gender equality », « quality education », etc. The State of the African Diaspora is very involved in the SDGs, especially through its program to provide agribusiness and to create 25 smart cities in Africa and in the Diaspora, and is working with the UNASDG to raise financing for these initiatives. UNASDG is an Intergovernmental Organisation (IGO), a platform that provides the assurance of technological know-how and investments for the realization of the SDGs. Upon signing the documents, Dr Louis-Georges Tin, Prime Minister of SOAD, stated : « The State of the African Diaspora is very happy to have this partnership with the UNASDG, that represents the United Nations in the area of the SDGs. These goals are very important for all the smart cities we are building in Africa and in the Diaspora. Together, we will seek for investors for our programs and work on how we can share experiences and exchange of innovative knowledge. » Mr Patrick Meyer, President and Founder of the UNASDG, declared : « "It is my great honor to take such an important step of collaboration with the African State of Diaspora and to collectively take on this trustworthy challenge. Working closely together and with a determined like-minded team, we will be able to take a big step towards success and achieving the sustainable development goals on the African continent." »

- UNASDG starts initial steps for Malawi cooperation
President Pat Meyer has met Deputy Ambassador Derek Lakudzala and Second political Secretary Rev. Isaac Mazaza to hand over certified documents for the President. Deputy Ambassador Derek Lakudzala, President Pat Meyer, Rev. Isaac Mazaza Jere The UNASDG Senate has decided to support the Republic of Malawi achieving the SDGs and nominated Mr. Kush Mittal as Ambassador-at-large for Malawi and local representative. After his accreditation he will be representing the UNASDG in Malawi, to negotiate and to prepare binding steps, to be signed by the Executive Board only. Before any support takes place, the standards have to be completed between the State and the UNASDG Intergovernmental Organization. Currently there are different international project developers, asking UNASDG to support the implementation of selected projects in Malawi as e.g. the Climate Prosperity Enterprise Solutions LLC, represented by Ambassador (ret.) Ambassador Jose Alfredo Ramirez has been honored at House of Lords for his excellent efforts in Global Sustainability. Hon. Mr. Jose Alfredo Ramirez, Special Diplomatic Ambassador International Affairs, UNASDG Diplomatic Council The ambassador gave a speech about the change in cities and the need for global cooperation. He also presented the possibilities of support from UNASDG and its linked partners, especially in the field of financing and expertise. Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso signed today with Special Ambassador Hanen Benabdeladhim the State Convention with UNASDG in Pointe-Noire. Prime Minister Hon Mr. Anatole Collinet Makosso, Ambassador Mrs. Hanen Benabdeladhim, Special Ambassador Hon. Mrs. Hanen Benabdeladhim signed on behalf of the President Senator Patrick Meyer the State Convention with Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso. It is the first Milestone for the long-term collaboration between the UNASDG Intergovernmental Organization and the Republic of Congo. Ambassador Benabdeladhim discussed with HE President Dennis Sassou-Nguesso the needs of the Country and possible strategies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. UNASDG will undertake administrative tasks in the field of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the country and bring its linked investment facilities and International Experts of the UNASDG Council of Experts, to support the achievement of the Goals.

CEO Dr. Slim Feriani, Ambassador Mrs. Hanen Benabdeladhim, Special Ambassador Hon. Mrs. Hanen Benabdeladhim signed on behalf of the President Senator Patrick Meyer the Convention with Dr. Slim Feriani, Chief Executive Officer of the Djibouti Sovereign Fund. UNASDG and the Djibouti Sovereign Fund are planning a long-term collaboration to support Djibouti in achieving the goals. Further Agreements with the State are planned to implement the SDG Cities Program with UNGSII and the UN-Habitat.

- Senegal to stage first “Invest in Senegal” Forum on July 6-8
UNASDG is invited to visit the "Invest in Senegal" Forum. Selected Representatives will be on site to discuss different opportunities with the Governments of different Countries. Picture: North Africa Post Senegal’s investment promotion and grand projects agency, APIX, will organize on July 6-8 the country’s first “Invest in Senegal” Forum seeking the development of local and regional markets. APIX in a statement argues that the event is meant to draw benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and promote investment opportunities in Senegal and Africa. The event will gather around 3,000 delegates among whom State officials, investors, economic leaders, asset owners from the continent and the rest of the world, SME managers, regional and international organizations, as well as technical and financial partners. The Agency through the Forum also seeks to encourage B2B meetings between investors, the Government and private-sector companies taking part in the Forum, increase public-private partnerships and joint ventures, promote SMEs and mobilize financing for regional integration projects. The town of Diamniadio, about 30 kilometers from Dakar city center, will host the event. The town is currently being developed to become a new city dubbed “Diamniadio Urban Pole”.
