The membership within the Alliance is structured into three main categories: first, the Network Community for Individuals, designed for personal participation, exchange and engagement; second, Strategic Membership for organizations, focused on the targeted development, expansion and strengthening of business relations and cooperation in support of the shared objectives and third, Indigenous People to Strenghtening voices, heritage and community-led devlopment.

The Network Community is open to individuals, indigenous representatives, community voices, professionals, students, experts and engaged people who wish to connect with a broader international environment focused on sustainable development, education, innovation, cultural exchange and global cooperation. Membership offers an opportunity to participate in community-based dialogue, access selected information and engage with SDG-related themes through the Alliance for Sustainable Cities and Communities GmbH as the authorized community administrator.

This membership category is designed for indigenous peoples, traditional communities, cultural representatives, local leaders and community-based voices seeking to engage in international dialogue on sustainable development, cultural heritage, environmental protection, education, inclusion and community resilience. Through the Alliance for Sustainable Cities and Communities GmbH, members may connect with a broader SDG-oriented community and contribute perspectives rooted in identity, tradition, local knowledge and sustainable futures.

Build strategic relations and cooperation for sustainable development.
Strategic Membership is designed for companies, institutions, associations, NGOs, IGOs and other organizations seeking to develop, expand and strengthen business relations, partnerships and cooperation in support of sustainable development goals. Through the Alliance for Sustainable Cities and Communities GmbH, members may access selected networking formats, visibility opportunities, institutional dialogue and cooperation-related channels connected to sustainability, innovation and development-oriented initiatives.
The UnASDG Membership Community is independently established, operated and administered by the Alliance for Sustainable Cities and Communities GmbH (ASCC), in accordance with the applicable authorization granted by Board Resolution.
UnASDG IGO generally engages with States, institutional partners and recognized members within its institutional framework. For broader community participation, awareness-building and membership-related engagement, ASCC has been designated as the authorized entity to structure, manage and communicate the UnASDG Membership Community.
Any membership benefits, participation options, community activities, communications or related opportunities are provided, administered and communicated exclusively by ASCC and remain subject to the applicable membership terms, eligibility criteria, approvals and internal procedures of ASCC. Membership in the UnASDG Membership Community does not, by itself, constitute governmental recognition, treaty participation, institutional mandate, financial entitlement, representation authority or legal authority to act on behalf of UnASDG IGO, unless expressly confirmed in writing by the competent UnASDG IGO body.
