ACCELERATING GLOBAL SDG IMPLEMENTATION
In September 2015, 193 heads of state pledged their commitment to implement the
17 Sustainable Development Goals at the United Nations.
The UNGSII FOUNDATION was created to assist and accelerate the implementation process. Their mission is to ensure that the world reaches its goal, at the latest, by 2030.
UNGSII's strategic approach to Global Social Change is based on three main pillars:
SDGs & THE UNGSII FOUNDATION
The world's promising new future was solidified by the UN led SDG Global Compact uniting 193-member states in agreement of how the world should look by the year 2030. Implementing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will indeed afford a better future. Despite vast differences on religion, values, and cultural frames the national leaders have agreed to focus on the common needs over short-sighted indifferences. The world has yet to truly understand and appreciate the unprecedented act of unity and leadership formalized by the signing of the SDGs. UNGSII was initiated by senior UN Executives, financial market experts, business leaders and academics as an independent, stand-alone entity designed to raise funds, educate, initiate and support SDG based programs. UNGSII is leading the global celebration of people, companies, NGOs, non-profits, agencies and other entities who are working tirelessly to turn the SDGs into reality.
TRANSFORM FINANCIAL MARKETS
UNGSII is creating broad-based awareness of the economic value of sustainability.
Their goal is to increase global sustainable investment from 3-6% where it is today, to 20%+ by 2030.
Understanding and the next generation is imperative for supporting their future and creating social change.
UNGSII is leading the world's first comprehensive Global Youth Poll, conducted quarterly in every country on earth.
UNGSII invites the world to celebrate and recognize outstanding achievements, courageous decision making and remarkable programs that are making a real difference, inspiring billions of people through its SDG City Leadership Platform, including high profile events, festivals and activities.
